They have in the passed Stedill & they have been amazing for Nye
the best of both worlds . The club was rammed on those Nye
nights. I agree it would be great and as Storm has had the
evening for the last two Nye`s it seems unfair that paSSion
isnt on again for this year . It may be due to Storm packing
the event out so it could be money which is the factor.

Iv asked people before and they reckon it will never happen, crazy if you ask me, ecpecially considering the state of clubbing today and the economy etc....

Garbo said that it wouldn't make sense to put 'all eggs in one basket'.....so why is there two rooms playing the same genre at STORM (and paSSion)....

Surely if they had both occasionly it would pull in the people that like paSSion, STORM and those that like both!!!??!!

Not sure about this for a reason - as passiondude rightly says, they ran nights like that on more than one occasion in the past and they were always brilliant. If they were a good idea in the past, why not now? It is not down to the unbalanced percentage distribution of eggs between an insufficient number of baskets, that's for sure.

Having said that, that was in the days of Passion being at full strength (early noughties from memory) and when Storm was the 'smaller' event.

Sadly, as we know, Passion tailed off a little for various reasons and to it's credit, Storm went from strength to strength.

It's a shame, but I don't think Passion is yet strong enough again to warrant pinching some of the NYE limelight from Storm, although as we know, Passion is getting back to where it came from and where it belongs.

Let's hope the old girl keeps pushing forward in 2009 - JFK and Genix have done a fantastic job getting back to the position it's in now compared to where it was just before the JFK: The Return night in Oct 2006.

Long live Passion! Let The Good Times Roll!

I never said that lol .......... but it is probally true , for example
if you look whos attending the Storm nights from dsi there are
many more members going to Storm then PaSSion .
However that doesnt make Storm better then PaSSion i think
storm caters more for the younger generation as paSSion
caters for both but unlike me the ones hitting nearer 40
have hung up there clubbing shoes and swappped them
for Xfacter slippers. I love my Trance and long may it continue
paSSion is like a second home to me.

To be honest, if i thought i could get a decent line up i would jump at the chance but all the big named jocks that play trance get three times what we could even afford somewhere else exotic around the globe.... this is how the conversation would go....

ME: 'excuse me Mr superstar dj... would you please play Coalville for three times less money than that gig in Los Angeles to 30000 people!'

MR Superstar DJ: 'Why would i want to do that?'

ME: 'Cause .... erm... our atmosphere is great'

MR Superstar DJ: 'erm i will let me agent decide... who is on ten percent commission'

I think you all know the answer....

The UK scene has not had one big named DJ on NYE for years... can anyone recall when the last one was?

Saw Eddie @ Gods last year , but to be honest i wouldent
care who was playing at PaSSion just as long as it was
on @ Nye . You and Genix would have pulled in a big
crowd Jason , i would of went for sure .

Who needs big name DJ's anyway? Get some of the less well known ones in who are just as good if not better sometimes. I loved both the Passion Vs Storm NYE's & would def make the effort to come up for that. Who are the DJ's for Storm on NYE anyway?

I do love a bit of the Tidy Boys tho but its nice to be able to have the choice between the two different styles of music I think. I get a bit bored of hard house all night!
